Glen Canyon - Arizona
Last week, after spending lots of time overlaying NEOWISE with the landscape on my computer, I decided to make the drive to Glen Canyon in Northern Arizona... It is mind boggling how much better the camera (and LCD and EVF) pick up the comet than the naked eye does. In this case, I had to first find it using dark mode on the camera before I could just barely see it with the naked eye at dusk but the camera picked it up easily. a7R4, 80-180mm @ 100mm, ISO 1600, f/4, 2s The foreground was taken at ISO200, f/4, 16s - same Ev but just a lower ISO for better dynamic range and lower noise. The sky image, taken at ISO 1600 had DeNoise applied. The camera never moved and it is just two shots at the same exposure value, a low noise one and a faster high ISO one to insure no movement of objects in the sky. Please click on the image to see it against a darker background. E.J. Peiker http://www.EJPhoto.com
