I made this image of Comet NEOWISE last night. This celestial visitor is the first bright comet in 25 years. It should be visible in clear skies through the end of July. The next opportunity for you to see it is the year 8786. Maybe we can get together then to celebrate its return with a glass of wine?
Photo specs- 7D Mark II; 500 F4 1 sec @ F4 ISO 128,000 at about 10:15 PM EDT. Processed in Lightroom and Photoshop. FYI, I did try an image at ISO 6400 and 2 sec, but the background stars began to trail a bit so I chose this one to add to the other great images of this comet posted here. Remember, a little mild insanity keeps us healthy
