I could gaze upon this gorgeous Japanese maple for hours, like a vivid dream. The explosive fall color and velvety moss on its branches add so much to its beauty. Truly a tree of life.

Tech: Nikon D850, Nikkor 24-70 2.8 @35mm, f5.6, 1 second, ISO 64. Multiple frames focus stacked.

Thank you Cynthia! I'm a sucker for Japanese maples in autumn and this is one of the finest I've seen. Such a short window to catch the color too; these trees can go from pure green to the leaves fallen off in less than two weeks.
