Another Scottish Highlands image.  Very fortunate in the week I hired a cottage to have two evenings of ridiculous sublime light.  Very short windows and then gone.  In true Scottish fashion, rain followed for the remainder of the week.

Please feel free to view uncompressed. Thanks for looking.

Great layers in this image, Dave. Love the side light. Large view is a treat.

Even better light than the previous....nice!
that wonderful f/g light adds to the layers in the distance.
Thoughts to cropping just a sliver off the bottom to minimize the oof areas?

A lovely example of the highlands evening light, Dave, and beautiful against the dark distant mountains.  Scotland is so good for the soul.   :)

Love the color palette and layers, Dave. I almost feel like I could be there- such an evocative scene. (Oh, how I wish I could have EVER traveled to Scotland!). At least you took me there for a while. :) Thanks for the view.

I like it. Wish I was in the Scottish Highlands rather than in the 44 degree desert metropolis that is my current prison.

Thank you all for your kind words. As Carol and EJ know, Scotland can offer many, many days are dreary rain, but when the magic comes, it rarely is in half measures.
