Beautiful shot.  To my eye, cropping this to a 16x9 by removing some space on top takes this to the next level.  Definitely wondering why you would choose to shoot this at ISO 1600?

Love the low fog and distant mtns...peaceful feeling.
I'm guessing ISO1600 because it was handheld?

Thank you all for the nice complements, and EJ especially for the constructive feedback, which turned out to be quite instructive.  Changing the aspect ratio did improve the photograph.

John's guess was right on:  ISO 1600 because the image was taken hand-held.  A tripod would definitely have helped, probably even more than changing the aspect ratio in post-processing.
