Canon 10D, 17-40 f/4 @17mm, 1/125 sec., f/8, ISO: 100. This panorama was created from 4 exposures.

I visited Death Valley for the first time in March, 2005. It happened that was a "super bloom" year. A fellow teacher and I camped in our tents for a couple of nights and that visit inspired me to return to D.V. several times - albeit at Stovepipe Wells, not in a tent :) . I'm headed there next week.

This looks amazing in your link to the larger view, Mike! A beautiful landscape and a great bloom of the wildflowers. Have a good trip next week!

Great pano with so many interesting elements-I like the transitions in the sky-quite dramatic.

Ed, John, Carol, David, and Cynthia,

Thanks much for your comments.

Got back from Death Valley yesterday. I've posted one image - a couple more to come. It was a very welcome break from my routine.

Mike
