a6500 e18-135mm 23mm f4 7 seconds ISO 6400 6 shots stacked in Sequator.

I wanted to use a lens with a little more reach to concentrate on the core over Lassen Peak. It was quite windy so Sequator didn't stack the ground very cleanly.

Sky looks ok...but the rest is quite noisy.
Regarding your comment on the ground...how about using sequator to stack the sky, then do a manual stack of the ground and hand blend the two together.

Yowza, I think you succeeded in your quest! 6 shots isn't enough to eliminate the noise especially from a relatively noisy sensor. More like 20 would be better.
