Maple season...

I walk around my neighborhood for a week a year with my 14mm lens which I place on the ground under small Maple trees to see what I can get.
Hope you enjoy this one.

Dan, this is outstanding. the contrast and colors just pop. the graphic quality of the trunk and branches are striking. Great job.

Thank you very much for all the nice comments..
I have a lot of these kind of photos, a lot of small Japanese maples in the neighborhood where I live and
It is easy and fun to do in peak season, which just ended here.
The homeowners are usually happy I want to put my camera under their tree,
and I make them prints if they like of their tree if they turn out.
Some turn out and some don't...
I very much appreciate the Editors Pick.
