Embleton Bay - Northumberland, England
GFX-50R, 32-64mm @ 51mm (~40mm FF equiv.), ISO 100, f/5.6, 60s
I spotted this green pile of rocks against a cliff below Dunstanburgh Castle from about a mile away and decided to hike to it. The last 300 yards were treacherous especially since it was raining lightly. Halfway into this very steep and slippery place I was saying to myself that I am getting too old to take these risks and was really worried about how to get back. I persevered to get some interesting shots but I wouldn't do it again - perhaps if it was dry but definitely not when wet.

Basalt columns always make for an interesting backdrop.

The only time I would ever set foot on these algae/weed covered rocks is if they were bone dry!  Its like sliding on wet ice when its rained, or the tide has just gone out.  I learned that during ten years living near the coast in Scotland.  You were lucky to come away unscathed!  You did get this great shot though.
