I'm always amazed that trees can apparently grow out of rocks. This is a wonderfully colorful illustration.

the lone tree grabs all the attention from the boulders. That area always reminds me of dinosaurs! :)

Yeah me too - every time I go there I feel like I am going back in time a bit.

This place may be well known and often photographed but this unique image demonstrates the improbable within its beauty.  How can a tree get enough nutrition growing out of a rock to look this pretty?  Note that fall color depends on the nutrition/stresses of the tree.
