Taken in Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula - the blue of the blue ice is intensified with the dark clouds.

Canon EOS 1D Mark 2 + 28-135mm IS lens at 35mm
1/60 sec, f/22
Mode: Av
Metering: Multi-segment
Exp comp: -1/3
ISO: 400

Interesting shot. I'll be today's RAW converters can extract a lot more detail out of the bright part of the range than they could back when that camera came out and it had a tendency to smear white detail.

Lovely light in the clouds- the ice has a menacing look in contrast- I even (as usual) see a fierce toothy creature on the right.
