Maple Grove

Peak fall colors here in west central Illinois. Maples as far as the eye can see. Very cloudy day, with the sun sneaking out for a second behind me in this photo. Created an interesting effect

I do like this....great fall colors.
Perhaps a touch warm with the WB as the trunks are quite yellow.

Weird that they are yellow. Maples are usually red in fall color - are you sure they were Maple and not some other similar tree? The trunks don't look like Maple either but then there are several Maple species and I may just not be familiar. Very nice photo!

 Hey guys, the WB is on....the sliver of early morning sun really made the yellows in the dense grove explode, the clouds over top helped. It was an amazing sight. These are all sugar maples. They range from yellow-orange-red. Mainly yellow I have found around here.
