Pentax 645NII, 35mm, Provia F, Two hours at f/5.6

One of my goals while kayaking in the Apostle Islands was to get a star trails shot since there would be no light polution on the islands.

Slept out on the beach this night and the next night waiting for the shot to finish.

BTW, that is the North Star in the bullseye.

Ken,
Your goal succeeded.
I like the bullseye effect and trees in silhouette. Well done.

This is very cool, Ken. If it's a two hour shot, why did you have to spend two nights on the beach?

We liked sleeping on the beach so much that we spent another night and I didn't want to set up my tent again.
