Hi all,

Long time i didn't post anything here not even comments, because i stopped photography.

Last year started astronomy so wanted to share something at least, and i think this is so far my best image yet with few others, i just chose this because this is my favorite region of the moon.

Didn't know where to post my astro images, so i decided maybe a landscape section, you don't have any section for astro so it i difficult for me to choose which suitable section or forum to be under.

By an astro camera and telescope.

A neat moonscape image! Good depth revealed in the craters. What magnification did you use to get this image?

Thank you very much!

The scope has focal length equal 2700mm, and that is the image, didn't use any magnifier or extender although i can, just i think it is good without to give enough wider field of the surface rather than very close up to a crater for example.

Not so much details there, i just used a telescope which is named Skywatcher Skymax 180mm f15 Maksutov [it has focal length 2700mm], combined with a planetary camera which is ASI385MC, all on a mount from Skywatcher, AZ-EQ6, and this image was my first test with new filter i bought, an IR pass filter, Astronomik IR 742nm filter, so i took video then processed by stacking and processing with few software designed for this kind of imaging and processing.

I am trying to focus with astronomy as i have no images at all for terrestrial to compete with all amazing pics here, so i will try with my astro if possible whenever i can.
