There are few places in the world where I am more at peace than at Svinafellsjokul.  This is on a relatively clear, which means cold January day just before a 3:40PM sunset.

Looks great. I really like the range of cool tones and the ripple patterns made by the ice in the foreground. Some how I suspect this place isn't so inviting weather wise.

I've been here in over 100MPH winds and had to find refuge in a tiny room with 5 other people for 24 hours....  But when it's like this, it's heaven!

This looks like one of those places where - if you can escape other tourists, and the wind - you can really hear the sound of silence.

I had the wind, rain/snow and no daylight! Can't believe this is the same place.
Really lovely, peaceful image.
