Jokulsarlon - Iceland
a7R II, 70-200mm @ 91mm, ISO 100, f/7.1, 1/60s
The world famous Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon in Iceland taken on a late July night at about 1:00AM. The sun is only below the horizon for about 3 hours in late July at this location and light's up clouds that are high enough in the sky all night long. Must be viewed against a dark background by clicking on the image.

I love this wonderfully atmospheric scene!  The shapes remind me of a prehistoric sea creature, while the illuminated clouds and reflection appear like molten gold.

What a pleasure to view!

Viewed large, I feel like I'm there. Love the arrow-shaped iceberg pointing up to the illuminated opening in the clouds. Nice reflection too.

Love this EJ, that splash of orange light and reflection really lifts the cool blue tones.

I too like the comp with the spire reaching for the cloud opening.
Amazing mix of warm and cool colors.
