Buttermilk Falls State Park - New York
a7R III, 16-35mm @ 19mm, ISO 100, f/7.1, 2.5s

Another shot from my trip to New York's Finger Lakes Region earlier this month.  Here is one of the many cascades upstream of Buttermilk Falls.

I really like the framing on this, though Id be tempted to come in a tad tighter to make the most of the shape of the foreground. Nice choice of shutter speed also.

Another beautiful cascade, E.J.  This one plays tricks with my eyes - the more I look at the area of the white water falling into the dark pool below, the dark green water appears to rise up!  Optical illusions are fascinating.  :)

I like the framing too, along with the contrasting horizontal lines in the rock vs the vertical of the water cascading down.
Perfect ss for my tastes.
Neat color too...

Love the leading lines on left that go into the falls. Super shot.
