Reprocessing an old foul weather image into B&W breathes life into shots that may not have been all one would want in color...

This definitely works for me. I think Ansel would have probably liked it too. :D
Good comp and dynamic range. The clouds add a dramatic element particularly with part of the cliff poking through.

Yosemite looks great in any weather but I do l like your choice of mono here!
Moody clouds...best viewed full size.
