I stay away from posting this type of image because I can never tell if it's good or not. Do you like this one or not and why?

Tripod/ballhead mounted Nikon D100, 24-85mm AFS, ISO 200, Aperture Priority, 1/5, F20 @ 30mm. Cropped Slightly.

I like it - it's a bit abstract, focusing on the shapes of the rocks contrasting with that of the water. I might like to see a littlemore room at the top - the draping shape of the water is clipped a little tightly for my tastes, perhaps. That and the lower left side is a little open - no strong water or rock shapes to guide the composition. These are minor.

The balance of the rock with the lines of water also work well - with each other. And, the water flows from the top, down around the rock, and then out the right side - which is an effective way to get the eye to move around the entire frame.

I also like the bright green moss :)

I'd like this more with LESS room at the top. I would probably crop halfway between the large boulder and the top of the frame. I like the colors and the way the flow of the water leads you through the image. Nice shutter speed also.

Tony, that's what I had in mind. That boulder might now be too large in the frame but I still like it better. I'm sure you'll get more ideas/opinions from the rest of the crowd.

Anthony,

I am not user if I like it or not. I like the composition, but find myself wanting a little more blur in the water.

I love waterfalls and I like this one. Great abstract image. I like the textures on the rocks too.

I like Jenny's crop suggestion. It makes it stronger.

I like the original better but I would want a little more at the top of the image. Very well done.
