Sunset over the Luangwa river, Zambia.

Going through some old files from film days, I came across this view over the Luangwa river in Zambia.  The dark shapes in the water are Hippos waiting for darkness to come out on land to feed.

No techs available, all I can remember is that it was taken with Canon gear on Fuji Velvia!  :D

I shot Velvia too, Carol. 8)  This is such a lovely image with the different layers and the killer sunset with exceptional reflection. The hippos lurking in the river are a bonus. Excellent image.

oh my! what a shot Carol. Velvia was one of my all time fav' films and to get this is top drawer. ( I was an unfaithful trout as I also dallied with Kodachrome 64 and 25 but always loved the punchy colours Velvia produced). such a calming and beautiful scene.

wonderful to share your memories. thanks
