From the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument last Fall after a light snowfall. Unfortunately they close the monument to vehicle traffic around the middle of November - can't even get in there from a snowmobile as they are not allowed. I certainly could get in with my Jeep, but the gate is locked. Bummer, as I think there would be plenty of great photo ops if it wasn't!

This is a pleasing scene. The only thing I would personally change is to place the mountain higher in the frame and less centered on the vertical axis. But I also see how this view can work too.

The dusting of snow on the fg trees and foliage is lovely. The distant mountain is the icing on the cake here Mark!

Nice "feel" to this one, Mark.
The image is a great interpretation for the north woods. I can almost smell the pines!

wouldn't know about the north woods, but get it as it does have a good feel and is more in keeping with my own memories of views in woods and mountains.  Nice one Mark

Looks cold. I really like this. It is a very different image from these parts.
