Near Lake Superior in Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula I found this unique patch of lichens which only revealed the intense red color with the low sun behind me and upon taking a very low angle to the ground.

Very unique and different photo. I like the concept, wish for better DOF which would have required focus stacking or a lens with tilt.
