Winter Forest Chaos

We live on a peninsula tip 1.5 miles out on Northern Lake Huron - unprotected by Islands.  The forest takes a beating by wind and the tress have shallow roots because of the big rocks in the ground.

Just a thought to maybe make the tree trunks stand out a bit more....added contrast/saturation?

Before reading John's response my immediate reaction was that this needs more contrast. I think it would be even better if presented in black and white as that medium is great for showing texture which is really what this shot is all about.
