I went outside to check on the skies to see if I could try some star shots last evening.  I was disappointed until the moon peeked through.  This is a very large crop as my 300mm images were unsharp for some reason.

The OOF conifers frame the moon...I might be tempted to crop a bit tighter to eliminate the stragglers in the upper right corner.

I agree about the crop suggestion. I like the cloudy effect. Surprising detail through the clouds considering the large crop.

Would make a lovely children's book illustration. Thinking of a sleepy scene with a moon cradle. :)
