A century old tree striding down the valley in glorious autumn light... or at leas that is how it seems.

Nikon D500 with 16-80mm kit zoom.

EDIT:

Hi folks

I've paid heed to your C&C  - and have reworked the image.

Larger view

Would appreciate your feedback.

Have a great WE.

Interesting...not only the trees but also the mountains and rays.
Find it a little contrasty though...

It does make me think of a giant striding along! A little contrasty at this size, as John said, but the link to the larger version certainly brings out more detail especially in the dark tree trunk.

Thanks for the feedback, Carol & John.

Guess my age and love for Fuji Velvia shows.... :)

Seriously - my posts on NSN seem a bit dark and lifeless when compared to other sites - will see what can be done.

Cheers, S :)

Yup a tree which played as an extra in Lord of the Rings. It does look as if it is walking. I also like the yellow leaves and dramatic Sun rays.
