a6000 16-50mm 16mm f5.6 30 sec. Hoya r72 IR filter ISO 200

Just received an IR filter to use on my a6000.  It must be easier with a converted camera!  Not every subject seems to make a good IR photograph as I found that a lot of my images look like a poorly done B&W.  Critiques are appreciated.  Thanks.

Nice first effort.
Lush vegetation and those nice puffy summer clouds make IR shine.

Thanks. I was hoping for clouds but all I had was smoky skies.:-) IR photography to get a good image seems quite difficult.

It takes a bit of practice, both on figuring out what scenes make good IR and in post processing. I found that one of the Lifepixel 3 day workshops really took my IR imaging to the next level.
