Dead Aspens, Lassen National Park

a6000 DT 16-50mm 20mm f10 1/40th ISO 400

I saw that many trees in this small grove of aspens were dying several years ago and sent an email to the park service at Lassen asking why.  I got a song and dance in the response that the trees were fine and they just had lost their leaves.  Here is one group of them today.

I like this, but I actually like the square presentation found in the thumbnail better than the vertical composition - just a thought for an alternative look at this photo.
