Also what caused the darker square area around the sun?

I used my Tamron 200-500mm at 500mm with a 4X4" square solar filter at 1/10th sec f8 ISO 100 on a Sony a68 to get somewhat of an overexposed sun.
In LR CC I juggled the highlights and white sliders and got a numer of interesting effects. This particular image has a setting of -100 on the higlights and +61 on the white slider. Clarity at +100, vibrance at +78 and saturation at +44. As far as the square around the sun, I really hadn't noticed it, until you mentioned it. All I can figure is that it's light from the solar filter that's possibly leaking around the filter that I had taped onto the front of the lens.
