How are things going regarding the monument? I have heard the designation is under review by the current administration in Washington and that the governor of Maine is against it.

That's about all we know at this point Paul - I'm hoping the governor is irrelevant at this time concerning the final decision. Secretary Zinke is still pondering the final decision. He has been here for a tour, and it seemed quite positive.

I hope it all works out. I find it odd that the administration and governor are looking a gift horse in the mouth. If I am not mistaken, that land was a donation to the federal government from a wealthy family that wanted the land protected in its wild state for conservation and public benefit. The monument would provide a huge financial benefit for the region.
