One of the benefits of having been to Iceland over 5 times times is that you can try new things.  I have this image at sunrise/sunset but this time I tried to compose this for the sunburst and my Sigma 12-24mm f/4 art delivered and was able to capture the scene in a vert. Sigma 12-24mm f/4 lens at 12mm and f/22 for 1/10th of a sec. and ISO 100 all mounted on Induro tripod and ballhead.

I have been to this spot over a dozen times in the last 10 years and never have I had great conditions quite like this.  The chevron of clouds coming from the top of Kirkjufell is awesome!  f/22 may have been overkill here - perhaps f/11 would still give you a nice starburst with the added benefit of much more detail due to a lot less diffraction but it's a killer shot as is.

Like EJ said, a Killer Shot. The sunburst and clouds really set this one apart. One minor nit, the mountain has a bit of a halo probably from sharpening for this presentation.
