This image wasn't too well received when I posted the flat bed scan a few weeks ago. This is a scan done with an Imacon scanner. The highlights on the horizon aren't blocked like in the other scan and more of the green of the plant life comes through.

Shen-Hao 4x5
75mm Nikkor M 1:9
Velvia
A soft and a hard ND filter was used. I don't remember the strengths.

I like everything about this but the one cactus breaking into the horizon.

Dan,

What difference a scan makes. This one really is much better than the frist. The cactus sticking up is what caught my eye as well. Did you try to clone it out? Well I guess not, seeing that there are other plants in the area of theimage sticking up also.

It does look much better than the first one. The details in the clouds are much better.

Isn't this one of your wife's favorites? Don't tell her, but I still don't think its close to making it in your top 10....

Dan, I like the cloud, the curve of the land, and the cacti leading into the scene. The tall cactus protruding above the horizon doesn't bother me. In fact, after looking at this a while, I kinda like it.
