Last year I began experimenting with night shots, particularly the Milky Way. What a set of challenges I would (and do) face, but totally worth it. I scouted this spot via google earth and used stellarium to figure out what time and which way to face. The foreground doesn't really do it for me, but lesson learned-don't show up in the dark for the first time. That being said, I thought it was cool with the meteor and the light pollution illuminating the fog on the right.
