White Tank Mountains - Arizona
XF-IQ3100, 40-80mm@50mm (~32mm FF equiv.), ISO 200, f/8, 1/10s

I visited the White Tank Mountain Reserve in western Maricopa County, AZ for the first time yesterday morning despite living in the Phoenix area for the last 23 years. I know, I know, what the heck have I been waiting for? It always seemed like this dried up place way out west that you just drove by on your way to SoCal and a massive pain to get to due to traffic (need to pass through the Entire 60 mi stretch that is the Phoenix Metro). Boy was I wrong!!! This is a spectacular mountain park, one of the best in the region. Here is a pre-sunrise picture made with a 5 image focus stack combined in Helicon Focus.

I just can't get over how the desert areas come to life like this! The sky/cloud colours are a real bonus!
