I have never seen the Sonoran Desert so green.  I have lived in the Chihuahuan Desert and Sonoran Desert for the last 33 years and the desert has never looked like this after one of the wettest winters on record in the American Southwest.

Nice DOF to show detail. Love the desert at this time of year! When the conditions are right, the seed bank lets go of its' possessions. On a side note, tonight some PBS stations will be airing a great show called "The Five Seasons of the Sonoran Desert". It has some amazing stills and video and is well worth watching.

Crazy weather and just not what you expect to see in a desert! Cacti and grass are not normally what you would see together in such a green landscape. We'll have to wait and see whether its just a freak year, or a sign of things to come. Beautifully detailed image.

This is beautiful!!!! Shows us the diversity with the seasons. I have seen the desert this green many times... since the late 60's.
