Hi all,
I rarely post in landscapes, so be easy (but helpful!)  Even newer to me is astro / night photography.  This is one of my first attempts - composing, exposing, and post-processing all present their unique challenges; I was pretty happy with this - tell me how to improve.

Near Big Bend National Park

Canon 1D MkIV
100-400 4.5-5.6 v.2 + 1.4x t.c. v.2 @560mm
1/4 sec @ f/14
iso 100
Manual Exposure
Natural light, (duh!) tripod.

Comments, constructive criticism, and re-posts always welcome.

This is gr3eat, exceptional sharpness of the moon especially given the long focal length on a celestial object and with a TC too!

Craig,

A well deserved EP. This is a beautiful scene. The clouds really add to this scene. It is a cool and mysterious. Well done.

Another superlative image! Please, post more landscapes, they are a real treat for the eyes.
This moon is incredibly detailed, the lights, the colors, the composition, everything works perfectly.
A very sophisticated and elegant image. I would not have been able to do as well.
