White sands National Monument - New Mexico
D800E, 24mm, ISO 100, f/9, 1/60s

I'm working on a White Sands project this morning and thought I'd share this photograph taken when a late afternoon microburst erupted...

This is an interesting and dramatic skyscape. A lot of interesting cloud formation, plus the micro-burst, and a good proportion of sands to ground the whole image.

This one is really cool!

The soft calm white sands in the f/g and the ominous rain clouds in the distance moving in....nice contrast.

Great composition and capture of this spectacle. Looks like you were ready for the unexpected.
A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.
