This beautiful spruce forest was located high in the Dolly Sods Wilderness area of West Virginia. Normally this place is inaccessible at this time of year, but with only a rare few inches of snowfall I managed to drive up the forest road. It was a bit scary, but so worth it. As wind blew across the upper branches of this forest, powder filled the air. A strong winter sun backlit the scene, emphasizing the falling snow while providing more depth and texture to the scene overall. Thanks for looking!
