Deadvlei - Namib Naukluft Desert, Namibia
D700, 24-70mm @ 48mm, f/16, ISO 200, 0.8s
Deadvlei, Namibia - these trees were alive in the 1300's and still stand as monuments in this "dead marsh" or Deadvlei surrounded by the world's tallest sand dunes in the Namib-Naukluft Desert

Beautiful dunes, light and shadow. What really sets it off for me is the cracked clay in the foreground.

Have never been but certainly there are lots of images from Namib desert. Most have several trees. I like the simplicity of this image and the timing of the light. The foreground is great as well.
Nicely done.
