"Transitory Moment"
During this particular autumn morning in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, I rose from my comfy sleeping bag and faithfully heading out to find something to photograph during an uninspiring cloudless morning. As I scouted around in the pre-dawn moonlight, I made my way towards Jefferson Meadows. There, the tiniest amount of fog lingered in the distance. I decided to stick around and make some just-okay images. Then, as the sun began to crest over Mt. Washington, layers upon layers of fog formed and danced above the fields. The show lasted about 45 seconds before ending as quickly as it had began.
Techs: Canon 5D Mark IV, Canon 400 f/5.6. 1/25th second, f/8, ISO 100. Tripod.

I like this. The low contrast works with the overall brightness of the image and the layers add a strong compositional element. It's much like a painting.

Wonderful, painterly image Chris!  That wavy fog really puts it over the top!
