I'm usually not a fan of plain blue skies, but here it looks lovely against the orange autumn foliage and I think the reflection provides a nice balance. This one is from a few years ago.

I do understand your concerns with the blue sky and i agree with you. Like the scene and the mist in the water gives a good touch. The only downside for me is the lower left corner a bit too dark.
