Super moon rising over forest, Northern California

a6000 Tamron 200-500mm 250mm f8 1/10th ISO 800
I meant to spot meter the moon but didn't and so it turned out extremely bright although I have more detail in the mountain and the clouds.  I guess It's a question of balance.

Looks more like a sun due to the missed exposure.

Spectacular clouds -- too bad about the overexposure. A great candidate for combining exposures...

As Gary said...combing two exposures would have been the way to go.
