Nice scene Michael and the heron is an excellent focal point. Low iso looks very good on the Nikon 1.

I don't know how to start or how to finish with my comments, composition, light, the mountain, the heron just turn this into an amazing image!!!

The heron is cool...perfect timing.....but what makes this one neat for me is that wonderful fog sifting through the conifers.
Might want to take a sliver off the left to avoid the intruding branches near the top.

Yes, when my a6000 was in the shop I used my Nikon 1 v1. It took quite a bit of editing as the RAW image was very flat appearing.
