Drove past this large field of wild sunflowers in Lone Pine and knew that I would have to try a sunrise shot. I used 4 stops of graduated ND filters. Iso 100, F20, 0.5s, 24-105 lens, Canon 5D3.

Now that is light! Myself I would try and darken and add some local contrast to the glowing hills, give them some pop. :)

Gorgeous light on the mountains and great layered effect in the photo. The whole photo is just a tiny bit soft and could use a bit of sharpening probably due to using f/20.A little more contrast in the mountains or better yet, micro contrast such as what you get by using some application's structure control would make it even better.

I tried a few things (darkened mountains, contrast, sharpened). Any better? Thanks for the suggestions.

Lovely layers Steve!
I agree with a wish to see a bit more contrast added....but honestly can't see a big difference in your revision...
