A little over a year ago a forest fire raged through the Maligne valley forever changing the landscape. This documentary image was taken at the north end of Medicine lake a few months after the fire.

Sobering image -- any idea of the cause of the fire?

It never ceases to amaze me just how plants and trees can regenerate after a devastating fire like this John. Is there any change yet to this sombre view?
