The Flamingoes moved on, leaving just a tiny indication that they were there...

Neat idea Carol! I love the indication of the real Flamingos in the red/orange ripples. I would like to see it with the feather more to the right side. To me the right side as presented is rather boring compared to what's going on on the left side. Maybe there's even more of the red ripples to see on the left side if you changed the composition? If that's the only frame you have, then perhaps just a slight crop off of the right side while raising the feather up a bit in the frame too. Just a thought. Nice vision either way!

I know the star is the feather here....but I absolutely love that way the water ripples have been captured!!! Awesome!
Agree with Mark regarding the central placement of the feather.

I love shots like this and take them whenever possible. My preference would be to put the feather just a bit off center.

Beautiful -- very creative! I think it would be stronger with a slight crop off the right.

Thank you all for your useful comments and taking the time to offer advice. Much appreciated. I know I took two or three shots of this feather on the lake and I am fairly sure there was one with the feather more in the top right quarter!
