This natural phenomenon is somehow caused by the tide flowing across the certain type of rock. It had been raining for hours and the sun came out for 20 seconds at about 6:00AM. I shot a couple of rolls of the area and this had the most colour.Pentax MZ5n, Sigma 28-80@28, Velvia, 10sec. F22

I really like your colors and the lines formed by the joints in the rocks. You're allowed up to 640 pixels across for image dimensions - I think this would look even better as a larger file.

What an interesting shot - I like the reflection a lot. I think cropping that slither of white at the top would strengthen the photo.

You've got some great color here. I'm a little puzzled about the cropping. Looking at this I want to see more so I can see what this is a photo of.

That's really neat. There's a plethora of colours and textures for the eye to behold!

I agree with EJ's cropping suggestion. It does seem that the scan is a bit soft--if the original is sharp, it could be a bad scan, or more likely, applying some USM to overcome the softening that always happens in the A/D conversion will help a lot. It would also be nicer if it was posted at the max permissible size.

Cool shot. I love geology. I'd like to see it bigger.
