I am digging through some old images of my first trip yo Death Valley and working on images that have good texture and form yet look awful in their RAW form. B&W does seem to be a bit of a savior.

This is so cool. In my opinion the patterns are perfect and the b/w conversion really shows them off. Your 'old' image is quite a 'new' image....or better yet....'timeless'! :)

Amazing drama - the fade to black on top really works well.

Love the monochomre choice and the play of light & shade. Wonderful image.
