This image was taken a few days ago on the North Shore of Lake Superior! Generally this is a sunrise location, but was non-existence in the AM, so I went back later in the afternoon and photographed and converted to B & W in post-processing. There was enough contrast to make this work!

A cool scene but the image as posted lacks contrast and could definitely brightened, especially in the mid tones. It is also slightly out of level. A little redo in post processing could transform this into a fantastic photo.
