With the cold temperatures (-10 F ) and warmer water there is always river fog on the Mississippi river. but when the wind moves some of the river fog to the banks there is always hoar frost on the trees. On this morning my goal was to photograph waterfowl, but upon arriving I noticed all of the hoar frost, I spent the next 2 1/2 hours doing winter landscapes.

Interesting to read about this! I had no idea the Mississippi River could looked like this. Is it because the river is winding around that makes it look tilted? Looks great regardless - just curious.

Yes! The ice and the far shore line makes this look that way, the river is beginning to curve around! Thanks for your comment!

The image has a nice feeling about it, I like it a lot. I would like to maybe see more foreground and the top left corner needs work.
Thank You

I really like the mood of this shot and it gives me empathy for what's about to hit the east coast of the USA.

Very nice.
Yes, I think the fog is somewhat deceiving in that it gives the appearance of it being slanted.
Would love to see the intruding branches in the upper left corner disappear....
