This is interesting to me. I would normally like less sky but in this comp it works for me. I like the dynamism implied by the flare spots as well. >=))>

The lighting works for me...although perhaps stopping down a bit more to get a better sunburst might be more effective.
As noted, the flare also works, but the multiple points above the sun are likely due to dust on the element.

Agree with John, that's too randomly dispersed to be traditional lens flare. It's due to some contamination on the lens elements.
